The Rainbow Ball is Belong To‘s flagship fundraiser, raising vital funds for their frontline work, helping to make Ireland a safer and more supportive place for LGBTQ+ young people. The Rainbow Ball offers a unique night of celebration, impact and awareness for the lifesaving support services offered by Belong To.
This year’s event took place on Friday November 10th, 2023 where over 420 people from 36 amazing Irish-based organisations and their top executives were in attendance on the night. Belong-To, the company behind this magnificent event, approached AVCOM, looking for a partner to make sure the event was an unforgettable experience for everyone.

- Strategic Advice
Dara Gallagher, our head of design here at AVCOM worked on The Rainbow Ball committee to provide strategic advice on the production and #Experiencedesign of the event. Having Dara as a trusted advisor from its inception, saw his experience in large scale events manifest itself in the eye-catching design, and overall experience in The Aviva on the night.
- Event Design
Our Event Design for The Rainbow Ball was all encompassing, making sure each attendee had an experience to remember from start to finish. From Flowers pieces, a display of LGBTQ+ artwork, the arena already had special feel to it before it kicked off. AVCOM also provided stage design, which included LED screens, microphone stand, DJ booth, a dancefloor for professional dancers, elegant lighting and more.
- Event Production
AVCOM’s involvement in The Rainbow Ball was technical too, which always goes hand in hand with design in our events. Our ninjas were on hand to ensure the smooth delivery of all aspects of the event, from AV services to lighting and video production for the event, all of which done with the psychology of the kids going on stage in mind. AVCOM also provided a number of LED screens.
