Fáilte Ireland, Meitheal
Meitheal is Fáilte Ireland’s flagship travel trade event — a two-day face-to-face Trade Fair connecting Ireland’s tourism industry with international buyers from over 20 countries. Each year, over 10,000 appointments are conducted, generating new business and global partnerships for Irish tourism.
The main event takes place in the INEC Killarney, supported by a series of Buyers’ Evenings hosted across venues including The Brehon, The Europe, Killarney Brewing Company, and The Great Southern Killarney.
Working alongside Advantage PCO and the INEC production team, AVCOM delivers full event production services across Meitheal’s programme — from regional networking sessions and the Gala Dinner to opening ceremonies and evening entertainment.
Regional events are themed around Fáilte Ireland’s key tourism brands: Ireland’s Ancient East, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, Wild Atlantic Way, and Dublin.
Value delivered
AVCOM’s role spans full-scale event production, creative content, and technical delivery. Each year, our team provides multi-camera coverage and live relay for the Opening Ceremony and Gala Dinner, capturing the energy and emotion of Ireland’s tourism showcase event. Same-day highlight videos are filmed and edited onsite, featuring footage from familiarisation trips, networking sessions, and event activities, with the finished edit premiered during the Gala Dinner.
In 2025, we expanded our remit to include a dedicated video team focused on capturing sustainability in action by documenting the Fáilte Ireland Meitheal Sustainability Policy workshops held with secondary school students on how to be more inclusive.
Our Design team also creates custom animated countdown timers and presentation templates for each region, ensuring the event runs with visual consistency and without a hitch.
Our Event Producer leads AVCOM’s delivery, serving as the key liaison between Fáilte Ireland, event management, and venue teams to ensure smooth communication, timing precision, and creative alignment.
